Referred to by Billboard Magazine as "One of Music Row's greatest veteran tunesmiths," Jerry Salley has had an incredibly successful, multi award-winning songwriting career. Jerry Salley, a multi-genre maestro, is a songwriter, singer, and producer whose pen has graced hits in country, bluegrass, and gospel. Hailing from Ohio, he's been stitching melodies in Nashville since 1982, amassing over 500 songs recorded by the likes of Reba McEntire, Johnny Cash, and Chris Stapleton.
His songwriting prowess has earned him accolades like SESAC's "Country Music Songwriter of the Year," 2 IBMA Songwriter of the Year awards, and a Dove Award for the inspirational anthem "His Strength Is Perfect." But Jerry's not just a wordsmith; he's a performer too, captivating audiences with his heartfelt vocals and storytelling.
Beyond writing and performing, Jerry wears the producer hat, helming projects like the Grammy-nominated "Gonna Sing, Gonna Shout." He also mentors aspiring songwriters and runs Billy Blue Records, showcasing rising bluegrass and Americana stars.
With a heart for all things rootsy and a knack for weaving relatable tales, Jerry Salley continues to bridge genres and generations with his music. From mountain top jams to Grand Ole Opry appearances, his melodies linger long after the last note fades, a testament to a true musical storyteller.
